In lieu of the recent lockdowns across the planet many places have banned the shopping of “non essential items”. This includes books, movies, and many forms of entertainment.
I personally had to go to Walmart the other day. They had one entrance barricaded with cattle guards preventing all access, while the other had been converted into a maze of rows which you had to navigate until you got to the door. There was an employee standing there with a clipboard and two local police officers standing guard. I was told I had fifteen minutes to get everything I needed and get out.
To give you a little insight, I live in a small town. There are two Walmarts, each exactly 17 miles and in opposite directions from where I live. It takes three surrounding towns to fill one school system, and the total population is relatively small, making this entire endeavor a huge over reaction.
If that’s happening here, I can only image what larger cities are like. With that in mind, I’ve decided to do something to help.
Everyone needs entertainment. It’s what keeps up from going insane, especially during such times of isolation. To combat this, for a limited time my kindle books will be available free of charge.
You’ll have to download them from the links below as Amazon and other platforms will not have this offer.
All I ask is that if you download one or more books, please take a few moments to leave a review on any platform you would normally purchase books from. It doesn’t have to be a long review, or even spelled correctly. Even a simple star rating with a ‘I liked it’ or ‘I didn’t like it” will suffice.
What matters in terms of book success is how many reviews are present. The quality of them is irrelevant, though good reviews are more likely to help others make a purchasing decision later on. Many people are not aware of this, but some promotional platforms are unavailable unless you have 100 or more book reviews.
