I created this video for Vision Con a few months back as a lecture about Fantasy Fiction and how it came to be as we know it today. In addition I discussed many of the common tropes, clichés, and archetypes we see not only in fantasy but in all forms of storytelling.
I’d hoped to break this video into pieces to make each section a little more digestible, but it seems my source files are corrupted and I would have to record the entire thing again to make it happen. Instead, I’ll just give you to video I made for the convention. I hope you enjoy.
